Hey internet,
If you use Firefox to look up journal articles and whatnot off campus, you probably have to do so through your institution's proxy forwarding service (a very common one is ezProxy).
You may find this plugin extremely useful to push your requests through the proxy.
Also: I previously blogged about doing this via a search engine plugin.
